2020 Fantasy Football Lessons Learned - WR
Good Morning FantasyHolics!
Today is day 4 of Lesson's Learned and it is the WR position.
Only 5 of the Top 12 in drafted ADP finished in the Top 12. We drafted Michael Thomas as the top overall WR and top 6 in overall ADP and because of injury and poor QB play Thomas finished as the 95th WR.
WR is still a position you could wait on. Davante Adams, Tyreek Hill and DeAndre Hopkins were drafted Top 5 at the position and they all finished Top 5. Six of the rest of the WR1s came from the 3rd through 5th rounds. In a passing league, you didn't need one those "stud" WRs.
You had a rookie (Justin Jefferson) who was drafted at 120 overall and finished at 7. You also had Stefon Diggs being drafted in the 6th round finish at #3. You had 3 WRs (Adams, Hill, and Diggs ) finish above 300 total points and above 20 points per game this season and only one (Thomas) last season.
Next season, you can draft those Top WRs (Adams, Hopkins, Hill and Diggs) but as the numbers show, you can find WRs all throughout the draft. WR is so deep, you can find them later.
This chart shows the ADP (Average Draft Position) of the Top 12 WRs. It then shows you where each WR finished the 2019 season based on Total PPR Points scored. In parenthesis it shows you that players ADP compared to where they finished so that you see that comparison. Lastly, it also shows Average Points Scored Per Game.
