CastleBlacks Waiver Wire
Happy Tuesday and welcome back to the wire. We luckily did not get hit with nearly as many injuries as we did last week but there were a few. Lots of players stepped up this week and warrant being on fantasy rosters and not on the wire. Some of my targets this week are strictly a 1-2 week fill in that you could use as a flex in a pinch and others are more so players I feel like should be at the bottom of your bench for the upcoming bye weeks and inevitable injury insurance.
Like I have said in earlier waiver articles this season, I feel like your entire bench should be an even mix of RB and WR that you would not have an issue putting right into your starting lineup if need be. Standard size redraft benches do not really warrant carrying a 2nd TE or a player you are hoping to “break out” by week 10. We are just getting breaking news that multiple Titans have tested COVID positive which means that Tennessee and the Vikings could be shut down completely for an undetermined amount of time. There is no official word on that situation yet but you better have a real solid bench if you hope to compete through a situation where you lose multiple starting players from your team.
The running backs I am listing are mainly short term band aids that are filling in for an injured starter. The wide receivers are much more of targets I want to have on the last few spots on my bench as bye week and injury fill in’s.
Myles Gaskin (add of the week)clearly the lead in Miami
Jeff Wilson (until Mostert returns)
Carlos Hyde (until Carson and Penny return)
All of the Patriot RBs are likely on the wire
James White is the only one I want long term but until he returns these guys will have a weekly role but it is not a guessing game I want to play.
Good luck out there everybody and always check who got dropped tomorrow morning.
