CastleBlacks Waiver Wire
Welcome back to the wire FantasyHolics. I am back after a one week hiatus (I got married and spent a week in Jamaica) Now it’s back to waiver business and business is booming. We have some big time help on the wire this week due to injuries and breakouts. The biggest news this week is the brutal injury to Dak Prescott. Even as a bleed green Eagles fan, my thoughts go out to him. He was having a monster year for fantasy and now we have to try and gauge how the injury effects the pass catchers in Dallas. Dalvin Cook left the Sunday night game early and was replaced by Alexander Mattison who put up a 100 yard game in relief. Some rookie WRs stole the show this week and will be hot pick-ups. We also have multiple teams on bye so those bench spots are extremely valuable. I will continue to preach about keeping nothing but RB and WR value on your bench this season. If you cannot put a player into your starting lineup and feel comfortable about it, that player should not be rostered. Between injuries and COVID postponements, championships will be a last man standing situation this year. You don’t want to end up taking a zero or 2 point week at your RB2 spot because you were carrying 2 tight ends or quarterbacks and lost 2 RBs in one week.
Here are my top waiver targets for this week:
QB:
Jared Goff
Derek Carr
Andy Dalton
Ryan Fitzpatrick
Teddy Bridgewater
RB:
Alexander Mattison
Damien Harris
Justin Jackson(add of the week)
Chase Edmonds
WR:
Chase Claypool
Travis Fulgham
Laviska Shenault
Henry Ruggs
Tee Higgins
Mecole Hardman
TE:
Robert Tonyan
Austin Hooper
Trey Burton
Good luck this week and remember to check who was dropped in your leagues. Also most formats are running waivers a day late this week due to there being a Tuesday night game but double check all of your leagues.
