#CastleBlacks Waiver Wire

Welcome back to the waiver wire gang. This is definitely the first time my waiver post is coming out before the previous week is finished. We are gonna get a Wednesday afternoon game which cancels out Thursday night football and pushes waivers to Friday on most platforms. The Ravens Steelers game has some crazy stuff going on. No Lamar Jackson no James Conner. Way back 6 days ago when the game was originally scheduled, Ingram and Dobbins were both out with Covid. Now they are both back and eligible so Gus Edwards is not the sneaky good play he was a few days ago. Keep an eye on the Ravens backfield touches tomorrow because if Dobbins is the clear lead like he was the last game, he would be my add of the week.

So enough about the latest played game of an NFL week in history, lets talk some wire targets. Most platforms and leagues have one more regular season game and start playoffs week 14 so this is your last week to win and get in in a lot of cases. You need to throw away name loyalties and draft capital and have a roster with nothing but pieces that you can or plan on using in the playoffs. If possible carry 2 defenses that have good playoff matchups. Every other roster spot should be a player you have no problem starting or a premium handcuff to your top RB. Safe floor guys like a Sterling Shepard or Frank Gore that are locks for 7-11 points a game could end up saving your championship hopes this year. Picture you are in the playoffs and you have been riding Derrick Henry or Aaron Jones as your top RB all season. Boom they get the Rona on a Friday before a game. You’re thin at RB behind them and a guy like Gore could potentially save your playoff push. I have seen titles won in crazier ways. This season especially you need to have fallback options more than ever.

Cam Akers would be my add of the week if you can find him on the wire. LA seems to want to use him more and it makes sense for them to see what he can do. I still think it will be a RBBC but with Akers taking the lead. Devontae Booker is worth adding with Josh Jacobs suffering an ankle injury Sunday. He would be a top 15 play if Jacobs missed time. The aforementioned Frank Gore is worth adding for the reasons I mentioned. Brian Hill and Ito Smith look like they may have the keys to the Atlanta backfield going forward. Atlanta is out of the playoff race and may rest Gurley. JK Dobbins is also a strong pickup if he gets the majority of touches tomorrow.

Deebo Samuel is available in a shocking 50 percent of Yahoo leagues so check for him. I still love Michael Pittman Jr. even with the dud last game. Jakobi Meyers is the patriots passing offense and should be rostered. Keke Coutee is worth an add after the Will Fuller suspension. Hunter Renfrow seems like he’s becoming Carr’s second option after Waller.

Tight end is as gross as ever but Robert Tonyan is the best looking option that is still on some waivers. Jordan Reed did nothing on Sunday but he did run 25 routes so you could do worse. Same with Logan Thomas.

Ryan Fitzpatrick is back on the stream finder and for this coming week I like Kirk Cousins. Cousins schedule gets brutal after that though. Taysom Hill’s legs are keeping him relevant and he may eventually even throw a score. I wouldn’t call any of these players top priorities but they could all help beef up your rosters for the playoffs. My number one priority would be your top RBs handcuff if they have a clear one. Mattison Jamaal Williams Latavius Murray etc. Here are my targets for week 13.
