CastleBlacks Waiverwire

I am about to say something many of us thought to be impossible in 2020- We have made it through the first quarter of the NFL season! A lot of big-time players have been injured and we are entering the first bye weeks which makes this edition of The Waiver Wire even more important.

QBs:

Justin Herbert- Three great matchups weeks 5-7

Teddy Bridgewater- Two of his next four games are against the Falcons

Danny Jones- Likely has been dropped in most leagues. If you have Rodgers (bye), Stafford (bye), or Cam (Covid) look out for a breakout performance against the abysmal Dallas defense. Start him this week then drop him because any success he has this week will not carry over into week 6 and beyond

RBs:

Damien Harris- Patriots RB of the week. Expect this carousel to continue running but Harris did look good

D’Ernest Johnson- 95 yards rushing after Chubb went down. Will split carries with Hunt in some capacity over the next 6 weeks

Chase Edmonds- If you haven’t noticed yet, he is the best RB on the Cardinals. Look for him to replace Drake in the coming weeks

Joshua Kelley- With Ekeler down, look for Kelley to be the lead back. Chances are he is already taken in deeper leagues but he may be available in your 8-10 team leagues

Justin Jackson- Will split carries with Kelley while Ekeler is out

WRs:

Tee Higgins- Beginning to look like Burrow’s 1A to Tyler Boyd. AJ Green has become irrelevant

Laviska Shenault- Looking better every week

Justin Jefferson- If he wasn’t already added after his 175 yard week 3 performance, it’s time to make the add

Brandon Aiyuk- Play. Maker. Excited for this kid

Hunter Renfrow- 17 targets in two weeks. Edwards and Ruggs are both banged up leaving Renfrow and Waller pretty much alone in the passing game

TEs:

Robert Tonyan- Don’t expect 3 TDs and 98 yards every week, but Tonyan should be a better option than most on a weekly basis. He doesn’t help you this week since he is on his bye week, but he is deserving of a roster spot ASAP

Dalton Schultz- When a QB has to throw for 500 yards, you take anyone who is on the field with him. Plenty of opportunity for Schultz moving forward
