Monday Night Preview
Monday Night Preview:
Washington Football Team @ Pittsburgh Steelers
PIT -7, O/U 43
*Rankings below are the FantasyHolic’s staff expert weekly ranks
-Ben Roethlisberger (QB #12)- Rocking a strong 25/6 TD/INT ratio this year. Washington does have a top 12 defense in fewest QB points allowed but Ben will have to throw out of sheer volume since their running game has been absent most of the season.
-Alex Smith (outside our top 20)- Has been effective compared to their previous QBs but only 3 TDs with 5 INTs. The suffocating Steeler D is giving up the second fewest points to QBs.
-Antonio Gibson (RB #8)- His 11 TDs (3 last week) are impressive enough but he’s also trending in the right direction in the passing game with Alex Smith running the show. His 32 catches will need to be a factor against the Steeler #2 defense against RBs.
-Benny Snell (RB #28)- James Conner’s Covid diagnosis opened the door for the sophomore grinder. His 93 yards last week were encouraging but note the Football Team’s front 7 is giving up the 3rd fewest amount of RB points.
-JD McKissic (RB #31)- Useful in PPR (46 catches) but has only 1 TD. Needs a negative game script to produce, which is a strong possibility this week.
-Anthony McFarland (outside our top 40)- Not a horrible RB4 in PPR. Hasn’t broken out yet as a rookie but if there was ever a time it’s with Conner out.
-Terry McLaurin (WR #13)- Scary Terry has been terrifying for NFL and fantasy opponents alike. His 69 catches and 102 targets are among the league leaders. Unfortunately he’s the only relevant WR on his team.
-Deonte Johnson (WR #19)- He’s been the most consistent WR on the team despite not leading in catches, yards or TDs. Double digit targets in 5 of the last 6 games.
-Juju Smith-Schuster (WR #23)- Leads the team in catches (66). Also has a trip to the end zone in 3 of the last 4. Tough matchup but you just can’t sit him.
-Chase Claypool (WR #25)- The rookie sensation leads the team with 611 yards and 10 total touchdowns. Coming off of a quiet game but still had 9 targets including some red zone looks. A future superstar.
-Eric Ebron (TE #13)- Double digit PPR points in 5 of the last 6. A lot of mouths to feed but hard to ignore this kind of production at fantasy’s craziest position.
-Logan Thomas (TE #18)- Not a sexy play but has a respectable 60 targets and 4 touchdowns. Last week threw a pass, ran the ball and caught a score. Essentially the team’s #2 receiver.
