Monday Night Recap
Monday Night Recap
Last season the Buffalo Bills started the season out 8-3 and then lost 3 of the next 5 and lost in the first round of the playoffs. This season they brought in Stefon Diggs and spent more money on the offense then the defense. It paid off in Week 13 as they achieved there first Monday Night Football win since 1999, pushing them one game closer to winning the AFC East for the first time since 1995.
Quarterback Josh Allen threw for 375 yards and 4 touchdowns and no interceptions, spreading the ball around to Cole Beasley (9 receptions for 130 yards and 1 touchdown), Stefon Diggs (10 receptions and 92 yards), plus a touchdown to Gabriel Davis and Isaiah McKenzie and Dawson Knox.
The running game wasn’t great but San Francisco has a strong defense. Devin Singletary led the charge with 18 carries and 61 yards with 3 receptions and 22 yards. Zack Moss got 3 carries for 9 yards and he caught 1 pass for 5. Moss did have a fumble early in the game, and appeared to be benched. This running game has been hard to figure out. I dont know which of these running backs you can trust.
The San Francisco 49ers traveled to Phoniex for a ”home” game against Buffalo. This team has been destroyed by injuries, Covid and now being homeless but yet they are still competitive. If it wasn't for two interceptions thrown by quarterback Nick Mullens to Micha Hyde and Tre White, they might have won this game. Nick Mullens threw the ball 39 times and he connected on 26 for 316 yards. He connected with Brandon Aiyuk 5 times for 95 yards and one touchdown; Deebo Samuel 6 times for 73 yards, and Jordan Reed and Kyle Juszczyk for touchdowns. If this offense was healthy, it’d be dangerous.
The 49ers also could not get the running game going and they live off the play action pass. Raheem Mostert carried the ball 9 times for 42 yards and Jeff Wilson carried 7 times for 47 yards. Mostert is the most complete back and if healthy can produce but in the fantasy playoffs, you can't be guessing on running back.
Josh Allen: 32/40 375 yards and 4 TDs. Continues to grow into a weekly fantasy starter.
Cole Beasley: 9 REC 130 YDs 1 TD. PPR wide receiver that nobody talks about but he will get you 12 PPR points if that is what you need
Stefon Diggs: 10 REC 92 YDs. Became the complete wide receiver when he came to Buffalo
Brandon Aiyuk: 5 REC 95 YDs 1 TD. Catches the long ball. Becoming a every week starter.
Deebo Samuel: 6 REC 73 YDs. Has a shot at being a PPR star.
Raheem Mostert: 9 CAR 42 YDs. Needs to get healthy, and get back to being the #1 RB
Zack Moss: 3 CAR 9 YDs. Fumbled early on, appeared to be benched, also noted some minor injuires
