Most consistent RB

Who have been the most consistent RBs in the past 3 years?

When talking consistency there is only one RB who has been there and played all 16 games over the last three seasons and that’s Christian McCaffrey. There have been 2 other RBs that have finished as a Top 12 RB1 other than McCaffrey and one more RB that has finished Top 15 all three years. I’m going to look at total fantasy points scored and points per game. I’m going to find you those RBs that if you can get them on your roster, you can count on them to get the job done week in and week out.

The last three seasons the three RBs who finished in the Top 12 all three seasons were Christian McCaffrey, Alvin Kamara and Ezekiel Elliott. If you expand the research out to Top 15 you only add Todd Gurley. A lot of RBs finished Top 12 for two seasons but not 3 (Todd Gurley, Saquon Barkley, Joe Mixon, Melvin Gordon, Leonard Fournette, Kareem Hunt, Mark Ingram).

Alvin Kamara

Kamara has finished as the #3 RB, #4 RB and the #9 RB from 2017-2019. He has averaged 306 points per season and 20.40 points per game. In 60% of his games played during this period he’s finished as a RB1 (Top 12). He’s played in 45 games in three years and scored over 20 points in 20 games; more then 15 points in 32 games; double digits in 38 games. He also has had 81 receptions every one of those three seasons. He averages around 800 yards rushing and 800 yards receiving. Only missing 3 games in three seasons, he’s been consistent and reliable. Draft him as a Top 5 RB and sleep like a baby.

Ezekiel Elliott

Zeke has earned the right to be called a Top 5 RB. He has finished as the #12 RB, #5 RB and the #3 from 2017-2019. He has averaged 281.37 points per season 20.59 points per game. This is all after being suspended 6 games in 2017. In 58% of his games played during this period, Zeke has finished as a RB1. Zeke played in 41 games and scored over 20 points in 33 of those games (88%) and over 15 points in 38 of the games (93%) Zeke should easily carry the ball more than 300 times and get you 50 receptions. Zeke is one of the safest players you can draft.

Mr. #1 overall RB. You can’t ask for much more from Christian McCaffrey. He’s been the #10 RB, #2 RB and the #1 RB from 2017-2019. You can’t do better than 361.8 points per season and 22.61 points per game. He’s also finished as an RB1 60% of the time over those three seasons, including being an RB1 in 14 of 16 games last season. CMC scored over 20 points 32 times (68%); more than 15 points 37 times (79%); double digits 46 times (99%). He has also never missed a game. You should expect him to get 250 carries and over 100 receptions and be at or near the top of the RB mountain.

If you are looking for RBs that you can count on, these three are where it’s at. They show up to work everyday and they produce. They have consistently scored over 300 points in a season and week in and week out over 20 points a week. Grab one of these RBs and know they will be there for you.
