Thursday Night Preview
Thursday Night Football
New York Giants Vs Philadelphia Eagles
An old divisional matchup from the black and blue division pits the Giants against the Eagles. Two teams riddled with key injuries in a division no one wants to win. Second year quarterback Daniel Jones tries to will the Giants to victory without a running game going against Carson Wentz who seemingly doesn’t have his top 5 WRS, top 2 TES or his top running back.
We will start with the Giants who are coming off there first win against a struggling Washington Football Team who are having there own issues. The Giants continue struggling without a consistent running game. Daniel Jones who I said was the next Aaron Rodgers has continued tp lead the league in turnovers whether it be interceptions or fumbles. It’s possible the offense could see an uptick with Devonta Freeman getting acclimated to the offense this could open things up for Daniel Jones. Darius Slayton continues to be a bright spot in an offense that struggles. Blake Martinez on the defensive side is as much of a sure thing as it gets for an IDP and continues to be a tackle monster.
From the fan base that brought you booing Santa Clause and throwing snow balls at there own teams bench I bring you the “Carson Wentz should be released” Philly fan base. As A Jets fan give me Carson Wentz any day of the week. Wentz almost brought Philly back last week against one of the best teams in the league only to be boo’ed and told he’s not good enough. This Philly team is really in some way with the injuries. I wont list every injury but Wentz is basically playing with guys off the street and expected to produce wins and play at an MVP level. This isn’t a Carson Wentz appreciation post but come on. Veteran Richard Rodgers should pace the TE’s with Zach Ertz now out multiple weeks with the speedy Boston Scott being depended on to carry the bulk. Corey Clement could spell Scott but cannot be trusted. Travis Fulgham seems to be a full go being on pace to have an all pro season with the numbers he’s producing.
Games with struggling teams sometimes produce the best results and I don’t think this will be any different. With this division up for grabs the game should be an entertaining affair. Disclaimer: in this game I don’t trust one single player. It is Thursday night and no real studs are playing to cancel out our disclaimer.
