Packers at 49ers
An old school matchup from the 90s pits Aaron Rodgers against the 49ers. On paper before the season started this was one of my favorite games of the entire year. Then the season started and everything went crazy.
Aaron Rodgers is blazing an MVP pace with the Packers being a Super Bowl contender. Despite not having a reliable WR outside of Adams Rodgers continues to find end zone targets to pull the Packers through. This week will be a bit more challenging as Aaron Jones is still battling back from injury and may not play. AJ Dillion tested positive for Covid-19 with Jamaal Williams being a close contact. This could leave the Pack without there top three running backs.
On the other side of the ball it is basically a lost season for the 49ers. Injuries have absolutely destroyed the 49ers this season. At most of the skill positions especially on offense the 49ers are down to there 2nd and at times 3rd or 4th string players. There will be no Jimmy G, Kittle, Coleman, Samuel, Mosert, Wilson Jr. It’s fairly hard to come back from that. At this point it may be time to prepare for next year. The 49ers are still a well prepared team that has steamrolled lesser team such as the Jets and Giants but have struggled against the elite.
I will still watch as Aaron Rodgers is a “Bad Man” in my Stephen A Smith voice.
