Thursday Night Preview
Thursday night football
Ok this is getting to be a bit of a bruiser. A poor mans Steelers Vs Ravens. The Colts and Titans are very hard hitting teams playing with grit. The Colts running on a stingy defense and spreading the ball around with future hall of famer and father of 75 Philip Rivers while the Titans hit hard on defense and want to run the ball down your throat with Derrick Henry.
Ever since Ryan Tannehill came into the starting role the Titans have been a super bowl contender. Tannehill was always an elite game manager even with Adam Gase as his coach. The problem had been injuries. That problem has seemed to have disappeared. Tannehill can lead his team down the field on any drive. The emergence of AJ Brown last year into this year followed by Jonnu Smith into a pro bowl caliber tight end has given Tannehill more then enough weapons. I focused on the passing game but King Henry is still there as well. Henry is second in the league running just behind Dalvin Cook. Henry will need to get going to setup the play action.
On the other side you have the very vanilla Colts. Personally I think there games are a little boring myself but to each there own. Philip Rivers has been spreading the ball around the field hitting 15 different receivers as we approach the seasons halfway mark. The Colts running game has been largely ineffective though the line has been built more for pass protection. Jonathan Taylor has had ball security problems and really hasn’t been that explosive. Recently he has lost carries to roster holdover Jordan Wilkins. Hines is in on passing downs leaving Taylor on the bench. TY Hiltons age has caught up with him along with the injuries averaging a career low in yards per catch along with no current touchdowns. The defense lead by Darius Leonard is able to hold there own so I’d be shocked to see a blowout here.
Fantasy Impact Colts: Jonathan Taylor, Philip Rivers
Fantasy Impact Titans: Derrick Henry, AJ Brown, Ryan Tannehill, Jonnu Smith
