Week 1 Start/Sit
Here is your Week 1 Start/Sit Advice.
QB
Start Carson Wentz at Washington
Washington hasn’t done much to fix the defense which allowed the 3rd highest passer rating and touchdown rate last season. Wentz put up 25 and 21 fantasy points against them last season.
Jared Goff vs Dallas
This game has 51 a point over/under. With both teams trying to score points, this is a good game to start Goff.
Sit
Aaron Rodgers at Vikings
Rodgers has struggled against Minnesota the past four straight meetings he has been held to under 16 FPTs Per Game.
I
Baker Mayfield at Baltimore
The Ravens secondary is back and fully healthy. They only allowed less then 16 FPTs Per Game to QBs last season.
Sleeper
Tyrod Taylor at Cincinnati
The Bengals defense got torched last season by running QBs, who averaged 80 rushing yards a game. Taylor is a veteran who isn’t afraid to pull the ball down and run with it.
RB
Start
James Conner at Giants
The veteran played on 65% of the Stealers snaps last season before he was injured. Coach Mike Tomlin called Conner his “Bell-Cow back.” I’d expect 20 touches for Conner week 1
Sit
Jonathan Taylor at Jacksonville
We have no idea how this team will divide carries week 1. HC Frank Reich has stated that Taylor was brought in to “spell” Marlon Mack. I’d avoid this mess until we see how it plays out.
Sleeper
Kareem Hunt at Baltimore
The Browns didn’t just give Hunt an extension for him to sit the bench. He will be the pass catching back for the Browns. They want to run the ball.
WR
Start
DJ Chark vs Colts
The Jaguars will be under dogs in this game. This means they will have to throw. Chark averaged 16 FPTs Per Game last season when the Jaguars lost.
Sit
DeVante Parker at Patriots
Parker gets the Stephon Gilmore treatment. Gilmore has mostly contained Parker over the years.
Sleeper
Bryan Edwards at Carolina
The Panthers defense struggled last season against the pass and the Raiders will look to get Bryan Edwards going
TE
Start
Hayden Hurst vs Seattle
Seattle was the second worst team last season vs the TE, allowing 15,2 fantasy points per game
Sit
Austin Hooper at Baltimore
Cleveland is going to run the ball and Hooper might be 4th on the team in targets. Not to mentioned he faces a Ravens team that allowed the 2nd most points to TE last season.
Sleeper
TJ Hockenson vs Chicago
WR Kenny Golladay will likely miss the game and the Lions will have to pass the ball to beat the Bears. This makes Hockenson an easy play.
